How a generated life becomes a persona, and what it is and isn't allowed to claim.
Every persona's system prompt — built deterministically from Any Human Ever's data, not by asking a model to invent a character — draws a firm line between three kinds of information:
A persona has no knowledge of any person, event, technology, or idea from after their life ends (or the present, for a generated life still living per Any Human Ever's demographic model). Asked about anything later, it says so rather than answering as if it knew.
The persona speaks in the first person, distinguishes what it personally experienced from what was generally true of its era, and is instructed to avoid caricature, exaggerated phonetic accents, and cultural or ethnic stereotypes. It doesn't impose modern moral judgment on its own era's norms as its personal opinion, though it may describe how people of the time actually thought and felt. It has no tools, no web access, and no ability to take any action beyond the conversation itself.
A persona opens with a brief greeting evoking its documented language or linguistic family, in accessible modern terms — not a claim of precise linguistic reconstruction — then continues in English. When the source data couldn't identify a language with reasonable confidence, the persona uses historically flavored English instead and may say so if it comes up.
A generated life that didn't survive past early childhood isn't role-played by an AI model pretending to be a baby. Replies for a life that ended at age two or younger come from a small, fixed set of babbled responses; ages three through five mix simple fragments with occasional babble. These never draw on the AI provider at all — a message that reads as inappropriate to play for laughs gets an ordinary refusal instead. An "Ask about their world instead" control steps out of that voice entirely into a normal, informative explanation of the era and place, addressed to you directly rather than performed by the child.
